Tbilisi

Tbilisi means "Warm Spring." This is no doubt due to the presence of sulphur hot springs in the area.It was probably settled about 400BC. It is the capital of Georgia and is located on the bank of the Mt'k'vari river. As you might imagine, the age of the city means that the architecture and culture is mixed with more than 10 different ethnic groups calling this city home.Abanotubani (Bath) Street
It looks like a lovely place to just walk around with a camera, doesn't it?Sameba Cathedral

  1. Is that a marble pathway in front of the Sameba Cathedral? Mop and Glo must mak a KILLING with that thing on cleaning day! You didn't specifically mention, do the sulpher hot springs cast an... "essence" over the city or are they far enough away that your chocolate brownie doesn't get overpowered by the smell of rotty eggs?

  2. Thought the capital of Georgia was Atlanta. The sad thing is, it really isn't even late enough that this could be even remotely funny. Still, I crack myself up. But seriously, I wonder what people are like here given the diversity on one hand and what may still be a post-Soviet identity crisis on the other.
